Option 1: Full Electrical System Design & Installation
Tell us about your campervan or van conversion and we will design and install an electrical system to suit your exact needs.
Your requirements will depend on your planned power usage, duration & location of trips and whether you’ll visit campsites with shore power or park up in wild spots.
Lithium Ion Batteries (2x performance improvement from lead-acid / AGM )
Solar Panel Installation & Wiring - critical power source for going off-grid
B2B Charging - charge your battery from the engine alternator while you drive.
Shore Power Plug-in - Connect up to shore power when you’re settled in a campsite ( good backup for trips with little sun or driving).
Inverter Installation - convert your 12V DC supply to 230V AC so that you can use regular 3-pin home appliances in the van.
Power Distribution - We’ll wire up your appliances, lighting and sockets to the system using correctly sized hi-flex cabling and protective conduit / grommets.
This option includes full installation of the entire system, wiring to the various loads / power sources and commissioning the system.
Pros of this Option: Zero work for you. Reliable system installation. No headaches. Full Support.
Cons of this Option : Since we’re doing all of the work, it takes a lot more time and the overall cost will be higher.

Option 2: Pre-built control panel & wiring diagram
Doing your own van conversion or upgrades and want a shortcut for the electrics ?
We will design and build your electrical control panel - the panel that mounts all of the electrical components such as the solar MPPT, inverter, battery charger, bus bars, distribution fusebox, B2B charger and main fuses.
All of the components on the board will be pre-wired and the board can be sized to fit the available space in your van.
Then we will ship the control panel along with all the wiring, fuses, connectors etc. to complete your system.
Once you receive this, then you just have to:
Run all of the wiring for your appliances, lighting and outlets to the desired positions yourself.
Install your own solar panel (if desired) and send the solar cable through the roof in a Scanstrut cable gland.
Run wires and connect any other power sources you may want to use such as a B2B charger to your vehicle starter battery or a shore power plug in connection on the side of the van.
Mount the control panel in the desired location. If your furniture build is not complete then you can secure it temporarily in place to test the system and then disconnect it again to complete your build.
Then you simply connect all of these cables to various points on the control panel according to the supplied wiring diagram.
We can build out a package to suit your exact needs including appropriately sized lithium ion batteries, solar panels, glands, cables, fuses, connectors etc.
Pros of this Option: Significantly cheaper than a full install (option 1). You build your own understanding of the electrical system and sense of fulfilment from it’s completion.
Cons of this Option : You have to do all the work of wiring loads & power sources to the control panel. You might make mistakes with your wiring work
Option 3: Upgrades to existing Campervan Electrical Systems
Lithium Ion Battery Upgrades - the simplest yet most impactful upgrade you can make to an older electrical system. Lithium batteries allow discharge up to 95%, compared to only 50% for older lead-acid batteries. They also last for thousands of cycles and weigh 50% less for the same capacity. The other components in your system will need to be assessed to see if they are compatible with Lithium batteries.
Solar Panel Installation & Connection - Solar power is critical if you plan on travelling to wild places and not depending on shore power. In summer, a solar array can often provide your entire power requirements. We’ll size a solar array based on your free roof space and system requirements. Then we’ll supply, install and connect your panels to the electrical system.
Mounting options: If the inside roof of your van is still accessible (no ceiling installed yet) - then mounting with metal brackets and bolts is possible. If the roof is covered with a ceiling then we can look at options like mounting panels on roof bars or securing them with industrial adhesive. Flexible panels are also available if space and access is limited, their downside is significantly less power output.
B2B Charger Install - Charge your leisure battery while you drive. A smart B2B charger unit connects your vehicle starter battery to your leisure battery - it checks the charge level of your starter and charges from this as you drive. Your engines alternator provides the power to the vehicle starter battery.
New Wiring / Appliance / Outlet Install - Create new wiring runs to allow for new appliances or charging outlets to be installed in your van. For example: Fridges, Powered Roof Vents, Lighting or USB chargers.
